More Music Mayhem in the Borderlands – Quest for 100000 Gamerscore
The Quest for 100000 Gamerscore continues with more Music Mayhem and Borderlands Achievements.
As part of the music mayhem event I picked up achievements in Guitar Hero 5, Band Hero, Rockband 2 and The Beatles: Rockband. I’ve mostly been on my best instrument – vocals, but have also spent a bit of time playing drums, guitar and bass.
In Borderlands I’m still working on my first playthrough as the Hunter Mordecai. My sniping skills have become pretty badass, but the increase in the number of “badass” enemies that spawn, along with my current shotgun not being quite as effective as it once was has kept things from becoming too much of a cakewalk. I did run into a frustrating glitch with one of the missions that slowed my progress down a bit, but I finally got the mission cleared and am ready to move on to bigger and better things.
The mission that kept giving me problems was the final round of the Circle of Slaughter missions. I ran into the glitch that sometime happens when you die during the combat and all the enemies fail to spawn causing the mission to not be completeable. One solution suggests that you can get the remaining cages to drop by slowly circling to the left around the area with your back to the wall. However, I didn’t spot that solution when I was trying to get the mission to complete, so I ended up committing suicide by dropping grenades at my own feet and then when I re-entered the arena the enemies spawned and I was able to finish things up.
